Pistols (350g), Power-ups (1,085g), Clue Boosters (1,085g), and Coin Trials (1,750g) would be the ones you want to focus on for starters, as these will help you progress further without having to spend too much. Specifically, the Clue Booster should be the first to be upgraded, because that’s going to allow you to see more clues and help you find more relics. Collecting more clues means your meter will fill up faster, though you’ll have to be quick and grab all those clues before the Clue Booster timer is up.
It’s common sense – you won’t find relics out in the open, but rather in dark places when making your run. It won’t be easy for you to spot them at first, but with a little practice, it all should become second nature to you. For instance, relics in the Jungle Temple are usually found right after leafy areas.
After upgrading your pistol a bit, say, once or twice, you should have less of a problem when navigating the Jungle Temple. However, you will be best served if you save up enough money for an Assault Rifle, which you can then upgrade for greater damage; this weapon will really serve you well in the later goings. Dual SMGs and grenade launchers are also impressive weapons you’ll want to use in this game.
Having Lara wear new outfits doesn’t just make her look different – they actually help you in the progression of the game. The Biker outfit allows you to have longer vehicle rides and higher scores while riding them, the Bomber Pilot outfit helps you expedite relic hunts and make them faster to complete, while the Stealth Suit will make you less susceptible to enemy attacks.
Lara’s most impressive moves include wall runs and death-defying leaps, and here are some pointers on how to pull them off. If you’re at the edge of the road, long-swipe up from the top of Lara’s head and that’s going to help you propel her to an impressive leap. As for wall runs, swipe left or right two times, provided she’s running on the middle path; if you’ve gone left or right previously, then you need only swipe once in the respective direction.
