Ravensword: Shadowlands Tips, Cheats & Strategies to Solve All Mysteries

Ravensword: Shadowlands is an immersive action-RPG for Android and iOS platforms, developed by Crescent Moon Games. It’s a three-dimensional mobile game and it follows up on the previous Ravensword title, The Fallen King. While the company doesn’t say much about the game’s storyline, it isn’t shy about talking about its features. Among the many features listed in the game include the ability to switch between first-person and third-person play, “ragdoll” physics, hundreds of different items, a wide variety of weapons to choose from, “pets” such as flying mounts, horses, lock-picking mechanics, and the usual “tons of” loot and a plethora of enemy types that supposedly include prehistoric creatures.

Like its predecessor, this game could take some time to learn, and the things you learn in the tutorial might not be enough once you consider the bigger picture. And that’s why our list of Ravensword: Shadowlands tips, cheats and strategies might be able to help you more, as we go beyond what’s covered in the tutorial and fill you in on what you need to do to be successful in the game.

1. Stock Up On Potions

Health in Ravensword: Shadowlands regenerates automatically, but it could take quite a while to get your character’s health back up to 100 percent. Also consider that there are so many enemies to deal with along the way, many of which could take you by surprise. That said, you’ll want to stock up on health potions. But don’t overlook your energy potions, which are equally important, if not more important. If you don’t have enough energy, you wouldn’t be able to successfully string together moves for a combo. That also leaves your hero more vulnerable to attacks and more susceptible to damage. Aside from health and energy potions, you could also stock up on restoration potions, which refill both health and energy at the same time.

2. How To Properly Allocate Your Potions

One of the drawbacks of this game is that it doesn’t specify a potion’s color once you assign it to one of the four available slots. That makes it very easy to mistake a health potion for energy, or vice versa. What you’ll want to do here is to play it by memory recall. Yes, it could be tricky, but one technique you can try is to allocate the first two slots for health and the last two slots for energy, or the other way around, depending on how comfortable you are. You can even alternate health and energy potions in the four slots, just as long as you easily remember which slot belongs to which potion.

3. Sell Anything You Don’t Need

Gold isn’t exactly the easiest resource to score in Ravensword: Shadowlands. But the game does have several non-playing characters (NPCs) who will be more than happy to talk business with you and buy items you no longer need. It may be worthless food like rat meat or lower-level swords and clubs; if you’ve got some unwanted items, go ahead and sell them to earn yourself some gold.

4. Don’t Be Shy To Have Some Junk In Reserve

This tip ties in to the earlier one, as it’s also a good idea to have enough useless items in reserve at all times. For example, you can slaughter some animals while making your way from quest to quest; you won’t need the meat once it’s all said and done, but you can always sell it at a later time.

5. Imbue Your Equipment With Loot

It goes without saying that you have to equip your hero with a sword/weapon and some armor. That sword allows heroes to attack and also to defend themselves, while the armor protects them from damage. But you can make your hero’s weapons and armor more effective by imbuing them with loot items such as runes and rings. Doing so would improve the stats of your equipment, and also add some special abilities, such as doubling the damage or allowing for elemental attacks. It’s good practice to view your inventory on a regular basis by tapping the backpack icon, so you know what you can use at any given time.

6. Crack Open The Barrels

Another way you can get more gold in this game is to smash some barrels open while traveling to the next quest. The gold you earn may not be much, but then again, it’s better than nothing at all, right?

7. Bring Some Lock Picks With You

You can also find gold kept within those hidden treasure chests you’ll often find in a cave. But what if you realize that you can’t open those chests after all? To avoid this situation, you’ll want to make sure your inventory includes some lock picks. But since not everyone can easily pick locks, you can spend Talent Points for your hero on Stealth, subcategory Master Thief, which would improve their lock-picking abilities.

8. Improve Your Stats / Talents

The above abilities aren’t the only ones you can upgrade in this game, of course. Your Attribute Points can be used to improve Strength, Agility, Endurance, and Vigor. Talent Points, on the other hand, are used to increase Acrobatics, Good Fortune, Combat, and other General Talents. Keep using those APs and TPs to enhance your hero’s statistics and talents and you’ll have a very dangerous character who could progress through the game much faster.

9. Use The Fast Travel Option

Want to know a real timesaver that could take away some of the grunt work involved in playing Ravensword: Shadowlands? Use the game’s Fast Travel feature. You may find it interesting to revisit every part of your route when grinding/replaying, but since not all of us have all the time in the world to play, you can open the map, tap on your destination, and travel to that destination just like that. You’ll especially want to go the Fast Travel route if your potion supply is low, though keep in mind as well that you can only use Fast Travel if you’ve already visited an area, and cannot use it while in a battle.
