Can you create your own character on star wars battlefront 2

You don't. You select different classes from whichever side you are on, be it the Republic Clone Army or the CIS (which is the Seperatist Droid Army). You can select any class during Instant Action, but during the Campaign, you must "rack" up enough points to unlock the other classes. To do this you must make a certain amount of kills.
