Totaly! they can take pictures (they have 2 cameras one on the outside and one on the inside), they can record video and sound, there is a voice recorder, the screens are bigger and respond better, you can connect to the internet... There is sooo much stuf that's cool about it, just go to Nintendo.com and click on the Nintendo ds i thing and read about it, it's awesome!!!
