How does dead space end

Dead Space ends with the Hive Mind being defeated, Issac running to the shuttle to escape destruction from a massive tectonic load about to crash into Aegis 7. Issac narrowly escapes destruction. He plays a video from Nicole then stops it and turns off the shuttle cockpits holographic interface and with a depressed look on his face thinks of what to do now after surviving all of that and now knowing that his girlfriend Nicole is dead. He hears a noise and turns to look, Nicole looking like a Necromorph attacks Issac then suddenly the screen goes blank and the credits roll. Issac's fate yet to be determined, hopefully in Dead Space 2.
