Were do you get good fishes on Animal Crossing

In the water of course but the more you get into fishing, the more fish come, (weird huh?) anyway, it wasn't long ago when I caught my first shark and after that, they keep coming. The rarer ones are in the river but the more valuable ones are in the sea. Hope I helped :)
