How has video games improved your lives

I recently answered a question very similar to this. I got my first game at age five. I played it non-stop, even though I had just over 5 games. Now I have over 600 individual games and currently looking at a Famicom on eBay. The problem is, after you play/beat all of them, it gets boring. However, to answer your question, it has inspired me to write a bit and has made my life a lot more interesting.
