Highest score for atari pole position

i got 59,800 on the handheld feature other games including ms pacman, galaga,etc
Reply:::: This score actually can be beat. I got 59,900 on the hand held game :D right now im still trying to beat that and end up tieing my score each time. so, I believe that maybe the highest score can possibly get up to 60,000

I have used a handheld plug and play system as well with Ms. Pac Man, Pole Position, Galaga, Mappy, and another shooter similar to Galaga.

After playing pole position over and over, both my buddy and I have been able to consistently get 63,990 points in the game. We're pretty sure this is as high as you can get. This is with approximately a 54.50 second qualifying lap which will give you 14,240 points to start the race, making over 95 passes in the race earning 50 points per pass, and obviously no crashes, going all out the whole time. You have to downshift for a split second on the sharpest turn, but if you don't, you'll fly off the track and explode when you hit the billboard. if anyone can beat 63,990 i would love to see it. I'm pretty sure that's the max.
