There is a trick. You will need to be somewhere near a SHIELD extraction point (the glowing blue circles where you save) where you can commit suicide, for example by leaping to your death. Go to the SHIELD point, select Change Team and remove all but one character. 2. Equip that character with gear that has 2 features separated by a comma; for example Captain America's specific gear that gives you +10 Defense, +3 Shield Throw; or non-specific gear like Spider Bite that gives you +10% dodge, +20% speed. 3. Save game. 4. Whilst still on the SHIELD point select change team and replace that gear with gear that has only one feature; for example Radiation Man's +5% melee as radiation. 5. Leap to your death. 6. Select try again from last checkpoint. 7. Select character customisation and you will now have; for example, +5% melee as radiation, +3 Shield Throw Or +5% melee as radiation, +20% speed. By using this method you can turn all single-feature gear into double-feature gear. The restrictions are that you cannot combine 2 single-feature gear nor the first feature of double-feature gear, so find a 2-feature gear that you like the second-half of and go crazy. There are a lot of candidates like +20% speed (my favourite) +50% defence, +35% energy damage etc etc.
