the pros of ps3 are that it has an 80 or 40 gigabyte harddrive, backwards compatability (only on 80 gig model) to play ps1 and ps2 games, it has a free online network' more processing power and better graphic potential than the other "next gen" gaming consoles. It is compatible with blue tooth headsets keyboards and remotes. plays Blu Ray HD DVDs and DVDs without any extra hard ware. you han allso surf the web with its built in web brouser! the 80 gig model has 4 USB ports and memory card readers to view and copy photos from your camra. it is flashdrive "friendly" (it is simple to copy media from a PC and place it onto your playstation harddrive). you can have up to 100 online friends to email, voice chat, video chat, and play games with. the controlers are light, have motion sensitivity, vibrate or "rumble", and you can have up to 7 connected to one PS3 they also last around 10 hours on 1 charge. (they charge with USB cables that come with the controlers. if you own a PSP you can connect wierlessly from ANY internet hotspot and stream media, view your friends status, make transactions at the PlayStation store, and use do every thing on your ps3 exept play games. you can allso download system updates to add more features to to your PS3. there are more pros ... but I think I sumed it up goodly.
cons, there are no removable hard drives and the internet on the browser is slower than on your PC and is in basic HTML.
I own the 80 gig model and think it is worth every penny... all fifty thousand.
