How does vamp die in Metal Gear Solid 4

After losing against Raiden in a sword/knife fight and falling from metal gear ray, Naomi gave him a nano machine suppressor, and he injected himself with it finally Dying.
(He had nano machines with abnormal healing rate so he couldn't die.)
