Fallout 3 Broken Steel issues when i finish the game wether i sacrifice myself or not it shows the normal ending video and then it just goes to me lying on the floor in the purifier room

yes broken steel enables you to stay alive though normally you are put outside the purifier. I'm not sure why you are still in there though :/ possibly a glitch.
