What are the Forsaken in World of Warcraft

The Forsaken are those who died from the Scourge, but instead of following the ways of the undead legions under the command of the Lich King, managed to become free-willed. Under the rule of the banshee queen Sylvanas, they now reside in the Undercity, the ruins of the former capital of Lordaeron.

Forsaken are typified by harsh and cynic personalities, seeing their undead state as a blessing and a curse. They currently have no way to procreate, as their numbers are increased only when those infected by the Scourge break free of its grasp.
