How do you fix a broken dsi button

My DSI got broken and i went to game stop and they gave me a phone number to Nintendo repairs and my warranty just expired so then you pay like 40$ bucks if you don't have a warranty and they'll fix it unless they say it got dropped which mine wasn't so 4 weeks later i got it back all repaired, the button i broke was the "R" button.
