How do you get past the spider on Gretel and Hansel the game

Grab the purple mushroom in the screen with the spider. Knock down the branch that's in the corner in the first screen. Use that to knock down the beehive and make sure to move out of the way. Approach the beehive, being careful not to get too close, and when the symbols come up, use the mushroom to kill the bees. Then drench the doll in the honey. Go back to the spider and approach it from the left or the right. When prompted, drop the doll and watch the spider try to grab it, only to get stuck and leave.
