How do you increase your hunter rank at monster hunter 2 freedom

To increase your HR (hunter rank) in monster hunter freedom, you have to enter the guild building, Also known as the Gathering hall. You will see some ladies standing behind the counter there. If you talk to one of them they will give you a certain amount of different quests. Depending on your Hunter Rank these quests will be different. If you complete a certain number of these quests, your hunter rank will improve and so will the quest difficulty. To increase your hunter rank more and more, just keep doing these different kind of quests at the guild hall. Remember this is not the Village cheifs quest.
