What if you cant get a guy to stop playing video games

Leave him and find someone who appreciates you. If you don't want to do that then let him know how you feel. If that doesn't work break the video game.

You can't change other people--they have to sort out their own priorities in their own time. It sounds like your guy is spending more time than you would like him to on gaming. Therefore, your choices are to leave him entirely, or to find a middle ground where you spend your time with other friends or doing other activities. If you are married, with kids, this won't really be useful, though. You'll need to find a time when neither of you is otherwise occupied (away from the keyboard) and put the matter up for discussion. The best way is to say ahead of time that you would like to set aside time to talk about this. And then, agreeably set a time. Don't get sidetracked into discussion until then. Limit your talk about how it makes you feel...leave any other stuff out of the discussion. Take time to listen in response. Good luck.
