Who is trunks in Dragon Ball Z

he is the 17 year old pink headed boy that is vegetas and bulmas son. he has a sorwd,blue jacket and a serious look on his face no matter what he feels. he is the second of the warriors (wicth was goku,krillian,yamcha,tein,master robi,and gohan)everyone else got killed by androids (except goku,he died by a heart defect)and he comes back to tell them that they are gonna be killed. but that doesn't stop them from being killed (by the way the survivors was gohan,trunks,and bulma)gohan ends up teaching trunks fighting and gohan is married with kids but I'm not sure about trunks hope that helped!(btw he only showed up in dragon ball z Kai)
Trunks is Vegeta and Bulma's son.
