Is The Sims 3 good for a sims newbie

This is what I did, I got the phone app, and did the teaser (20 min free Trial). I also watched tons of sims 3 videos on you tube before I got it so I would be familiar! So yes. If you need more help, answers.com is a great source for help on sims 3!!
