- There are actually two that are of particular note. One IGS stands for "International Games System", a Taiwanese arcade game company founded in 1991 and associated with games like Knights of Valour and Oriental Legend.
- The other stands for "Information Global Service", a video game publisher whose works of note include Robocco Wars, Armadillo, Dahna Megami Tanjou, The Rocketeer, and Alien vs. Predator. It is unknown for sure where the latter is based, but it seems highly to be based in Japan. There is no precise information on when it was founded. It is also unknown whether the company still functions or not, but it published its last game in June 1993.
