How do you get to the city on animal crossing WII

First, you must go in front of the main gate in your town. Second, you see a bus stop in front with a ramp, and go up that ramp. Finally, you must click on the sign, and then it will ask you if you want to go to the city. Click "go to the city" and it's pretty obvious from there.
