Does shadow the hedgehog need the others

In the games Sonic and the others don't need Shadow so later on he thinks he is worthless and tries to comit suiside and in the sonic game:XED Shadow seems to disagree with the others and dicides to pretend that he doesn't need them and they don't need him,but reasonable fans of Shadow think he should help the others and they aposelly need him now because he is the only game character who can not only stay alone but see through his death trap,whitch means he is the only one who can stop evil because he is the "Ultimate Life Form" and the "Prince of Hell" so he dies to protect the world.Shadow is not dead!!!

Wait, wait, wait a minute!!!! The Obvious answer? This question is really based on (ugh i hate my spelling) opinion. Shadow could probably live without friends, or ever meeting them. But then again hasn't the present of friends actually healed Shadow? Besides in Sonic The Hedgehog NextGen (example) Omega brought Shadow the chaos emerald (a or e?) to get him out of the future. And also (same game) Didn't they need Sonic after he conveniently died. (well everybody needed him, but Shadow mentioned it first.) (don't worry, for those who haven't played NextGen Sonic comes back to life).
Besides there was countless times (Sonic X, SA2, etc) that Sonic and Shadow needed to fight toegther to defeat something. they had to do it toegther because, they weren't powerfull enough on their own.
Also Shadow has felt sad for friends (Not just Maria), like in the future Omega wasn't working and Shadow tried to turn him on. You could feel the saddness in that scene. Shadow doesn't really show it. But the way he acts proves it.
Now the opposite argument would probably say that Shadow could too live without his friends. Infact some may say that his friends drag him down. This also might be true. He could, after all he is the ultimate lifeform. He can use chaos control to get away from situations.Chaos Blast wipes out all enemys in the area surrondung him. Shadow is very powerfull. He took down a entire Alien Army (almost, he got a little help. Like maybe a ride to space for example) by himself. Backstabbing was invovled, but usually it takes some backstabbing to take down a alien army. This argument could go either way, but i personally think that Shadow needs his friends. I think he's still healing from the Maria incident. (Shadow is on the computer too, he needs them to help him. Don't you dare tell him I told you that!!).
