Is Battlefield 3 good on Playstaion 3
It's awesome. Anyone who says it's glitchy hasn't played it, or their sources are hardcore COD fans.

I completely agree with the above statement. I own MW3 and BF3, and since buying BF3, I have played MW3 twice. The reason why BF3 is so much more fun in my eyes, is mainly due to the Frostbite2 Engine BF3 runs. It makes "HD Destruction" possible. What this means is you can riddle 'literally' anything you see with bullets, and you can destroy most walls, fences, obstacles, etc., even entire buildings can be reduced to chunks of rubble. On COD, kids camp in the corner inside a room, and sometimes you have a hard time getting to them because they have a Claymore set up on the door, then they change corners and shoot you when you try to come in for a second time, then you throw a grenade in there and it doesn't kill them etc. On Battlefield 3 there are also corner-campers, however, anyone with explosives can usually do something about it. If they're in a small building, you can just pull out your rocket launcher, M203, C-4, grenade, etc. and just blow a hole in the wall, and possibly kill them with the same explosion. Another alternative to that would be to blast the building with a tank a few times and often collapse the entire building on top of them, killing them and ruining their camping spot. If you are on a map with tall buildings and open streets, such as 'Seine Crossing,' and a small group of enemies are hiding behind an obstacle up against the side of a building and you team is having a hard time shooting them, just get out your rocket launcher, or M203 and shoot the side of the building above them. The spot you shoot will crumble, causing rubble to fall on top of them, killing them.
If you are a fan of sniping, and you prefer skill over luck, Battlefield 3 is the preferred choice over COD. The sniping actually requires some thought and skill. It's not just aim and shoot. You have to compensate for bullet drop and target movement over longer distances with all weapons, including sniper rifles and rocket launchers. My personal record for a headshot is 836 meters. I can't tell you how satisfying it is to kill someone from that far away when you have to "DOPE" your shots (Data Observed [from] Previous Engagement.) You take a shot, see that your bullet fell short of the intended target, take a breath, lift your scope, and try again. This also means that in Battlefield 3, you are almost guaranteed to never get killed by the cop-out that is "Quickscoping," unless your enemy gets lucky and happens to scope in on you and panic shoots at close range, which in my book, is not a quickscope; it's nothing more than a lucky shot.
Back to tanks... In BF3 you can drive tanks. You can also fly jets and helicopters. You can drive Jeeps, 4-wheelers, "Tank Destroyers", use Mobile AA stations, and more.
I could go on for pages about why I think BF3 is better than COD. I'll leave it at this though because I just realized how long this post is. In conclusion, COD = muscle memory, and repeating patterns (ie. shoot and strafe like you're dancing with the enemy, and make sure you fire first.) BF3 = tactics, thought, cover, suppression, vertical gameplay, and learning to expect the unexpected.
Have fun.
