What are good video games that let you make your own character

The Elder Scrolls games are excellent video games where you can make your own character. The first 2 games in the series are for the PC (the first one requires DOS), the 3rd game, Morrowind, is available on PC and Xbox, and Oblivion is available on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
Another good option is 3D Dot Game Heroes. It is a PS3 exclusive that is a blatant rip-off of the Legend of Zelda series.
