League of Legends is very popular among people who like the MOBA (Massive Online Battle Arena) games. It is the world's most popular game for a reason. The main differences with other MOBAs is that Riot intended to make a balanced, tactical game which relies heavily on teamwork. Mistakes pile up and if your team can't avoid them, then you are in a big problem. Unlike DotA (Dawn of the Ancients) series, League of Legends has a different fundamental thinking, although the two are very similar. The main differences in the games are that the DotA-series has a lot more customization and that League of Legends has a different idea how to balance the game.

That Is Because League Of Legends Is A Mixture Of Both.
If You Really Like It You Can Buy Skins To Your Main Champions.
