What is the story for Monster Hunter Tri

The story is that you are a fresh "off-the-boat" hunter who is dropped off at a small village that is supported only by the resources found in their woods. The chief tells you about these earthquakes that the island has been getting. The chief beleives that the Lagiacrus has been causing these quakes. After you learn some basic controls in Moga Woods you are then asked to complete Quests for the Hunter's Guild. As you earn more trust from the Guild you are offered harder quests all while upgrading and forging armour and weapons to fight harder monsters. Eventually you fight the Elder Dragon, the Caedeus, the real cause of the Earthquakes. After you beat the Caedeas the credits rol but you still get a few more (really hard) quests.
