Wars in mob wars
Wars in mob wars
Similar to insurgency, but financially motivated. Gangs fought for control of towns and cities in the US during the 1920s/1930s. Often referred to as turf wars. They were armed primarily with grenades and machineguns (Tommy guns=Thompson sub-machineguns). Law enforcement countered with the same weapons. Consequently, there were fire-fights in the streets, restaurants, stores, etc. between different factions and of course the police.
