Are video games bad for your health and brain
Video games can actually be very good for your health and brain.

They are shown to improve vision, memory, mental fitness, physical fitness, and can treat a variety of mental disorders including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

There are many "bad" things video games can do to your health, so a player must always be cautious. However, every complaint can be prevented by changing the way you play. Obesity, for example, can be prevented by changing the kind of game you play, and the frequency at which you play.

As for mental health, video games have a good reputation across the board. There is little evidence to suggest that video games decrease brain activity. Many are educational, and almost all create new pathways in the brain that can actually prevent conditions like dementia and Alzheimers.

Essentially, video games can be bad for your health and brain when used incorrectly. However, when used properly they can be an excellent asset.
