How do you beat a canyon run on NFS Carbon

There are a couple of ways to win a canyon duel.


When you are in the first round of the duel which is to say you start off behind your opponent get in front of your opponents vehicle and stay in front for 10 seconds before crossing the finish line.


Or stay as close to your opponent during the first round of going down the canyon. You will accumulate points quicker or slower or not at all depending on the distance between you and your opponent. The points you have accumulated during the first round will be deducted in the second round when your opponent is following you. The speed at which your points are deducted will again depend on the distance between you and your opponent. To win the duel you must either have points left when you cross the finish line or have pulled far enough away that the game tells you that you are pulling away and continue to keep at least that distance for a steady 10 seconds.
