What you need to do is start up your game so that you can see yourselfe on the screen . Save and Quit the game . When you are on the main menu change the date ahead one day . Start up the game and do this over and over and over again . Once you start to see grass coming back you can choose to leave it be or repair fully . In order not to screw it up again DON'T RUN !!!!!!!!
