What is the best space shooter game for PC That is similar to EVE online

There is an old game called Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos (Offline game) that I found pretty interesting. I'm also on the lookout for something similar albeit different after near 3 years of playing EVE-O, but so far nothing... Anything with a mix of exploration, space and planetary combat, mining, manufacturing, invention/research, trading and customizing ships and bases/stations would be of huge interest. -Mokh'Tar
