Where is the Mayor in Animal Crossing

The Mayor will come out and stand in front of the town hall on some holidays such as Yay Day and the Flower Festival. But if you want to see him any other time, go inside the town hall and talk to Pelly in the civics center (on the green mat). You can see the mayor sleeping behind her (so THAT'S what mayors do all day! Lazy bums!), but you can't talk to him. But during the Acorn Festival there is a turtle named Cornimor, who is most likely Tornimor (the mayor) since inside town hall he is gone. He wears an acorn mask over his face to further support his disguise.
