You are stuck at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2 but it only says the end

I am assuming you beat Xehnort, watched the video with riku and sora returning back to destiny island and watched the credits. If you did, then you beat the game (congratulation!), like Kingdom Hearts 1 the game stops with a screen that simply says" the end." This is annoying if you have never seen it before because it is unclear what to do next. The only thing you can do is turn off your game and that should take you back to either your last saved point or in front of the door that you and riku first entered to go after Xenhort (I can't remember which one it is, I beat the game two years ago). The game really never acknowleges that you beat it besides that screen (maybe the creators did this so that you could play the last part of the game as many times as you want?)
