Does Star Wars knights of the old republic 2 work on vista

Ok this is a problem i have had plenty of times, and i see people are having the same problem, i found out that if you create a shortcut for the game from your disk to the desktop (open computer then right-click on the star wars kotor 2 icon it should say open, now click on that and the swkotor2.ini file should be in there), after you do that all you have to do is right-click on the icon and go to Properties. when this is open click the sub-heading called Compatibility and all you have to do is un-select the last 3 boxes, that should immediately fix all problems.
