Do video games cause violence

If the video games themselves are violent, they can influence behavior. Video games don't really cause violence, but being repeatedly exposed to it can make it more likely for a person to respond with violence, especially if the person is already prone to violence.

It is possible. Games such as Gears of War can inspire you to do those things in real life. Also, Halo and WWE (I have the game, it does not inspire me, but it can to you) can inspire.

A person once told of playing lots of Doom and later passing by a building where someone banned them. They got this image in their head of that person being a cacodemon and firing a rocket launcher at them on the 3rd floor. They snapped themselves out of that image and decided to cut back on the game.
