The rarest item is probably the golden wrench. 100 were given out total during an event, and then eight of those were destroyed for charity.

Nope. I'd say the rarest would actually probably be either VALVe weapons, or if you're talking about items in general, the top Notch, being given ONLY to Notch, (previous) head developer of Mojang, the company that made games like Cobalt, Scrolls, Minecraft and 0x10c. The golden wrench is rare, and all of that is true, but I'm pretty sure the saxxy is rarer, being given (annually, so it will go down in rarity eventually) only to the winners of the replay competitions.
