What are the advantages of flight simulators

Flight Simulators are essentially games, but they can be useful for practising startup, approach, ATC and shutdown procedures. The model design, flight data and cockpit functionality however, should not be relied on 100%. Short of the actual plane or a full simulator, it is a good game/tool for aspiring pilots.
