the story:
gohan in ssj2 dealt a nasty kick to cell's stomach making him spit out #18. he then prepared to self-destruct, thus destroying the planet. Goku acted fast and instant transmission to King Kai's planet to let cell kill 2 people, rather than 2 billion. Although goku could have i.t.'d back, there was no time. Sadly it was all in vain. Cell regenerated from his nucleus, but of course, gohan won the battle by a powerful Kamehameha (later dubbed the father-son Kamehameha
