All the components are mounted on a circuit board called the mother board, those components are the CPU (which is like the brain of the computer), the ram (which is where the computer puts things you are using at the moment), the ROM (which tells the computer how to work), the bios (which comunicates with all the things you plug in), the hard disk (which is where you save things) and the psu (which is where the power comes in), please look at wikipedias article on computers for more, I have been a bit breef.
