How can you be the best in starcraft

Starcraft is a strategy game. Experiment with tactics like hit-and-run, fast expansion, and overwhelming forces.


Base your strategy around which of the three races your using. The Protoss deal good damage and have some cool abilities, but they're expensive to produce, and can be easy to destroy. Zerg units on the other hand are cheap, but not very powerful, but their health regenerates and most of them move really fast. Terran forces are mobile and have good defenses.

Look at each unit and figure out what its strengths and weaknesses are. Firebats are really good against small units like zerglings and marines, doing a full 16 damage, but against buildings and large units like Ultralisks they only deal 25% which is less than a marine does. Zerglings are weak by themselves, but with a group of 12-24 hydralisks backing them up they can overwhelm the oppenents forces.


Also, in starcraft you are supposed to have huge armies. Don't just build 12 units and go attack the enemy base. If you can, build a huge force because then you are more likely to have a successful attack.

Learning the keyboard shortcuts can really help too.
