How do you get Vintage RIG in Dead Space 2

In Chapter 8 early on the player will come across a supply room locked by a power node. Inside the room will be the Vintage RIG schematic. Once the player picks it up and goes to the store, the RIG will be unlocked and can then be purchased for 40,000 Credits. It gives the player 15% damage resistance, 20 inventory slots and a 10% in-game store discount, as long as the player is wearing the RIG.
