How do you fix oblivion crashes on PC

Oblivion has many errors and glitches that cause it to crash. A mod you should get is the Unofficial Oblivion Patch. It will fix al ot of problems. Also, when installing other mods, make sure they're installed properly, and that they don't conflict with other mods.

Oblivion doesn't seem to like up to date nvidia drivers especially in XP. My recent re-install of the game plus patch was freezing after around 5 mins of gameplay. Rolling back my driver (for twin SLI 7900GTX) to 91.47 (from the latest) fixed most of my crash issues.
