Are netbooks good for gaming

Not really. They might be fine for older games that dont require a lot of power but they are mainly made just to get on the internet, check email, type up documents and so forth. They sure won't run anything like Doom 3, Half Life 2, or Far Cry.
Nearly all netbooks have an Intel Atom CPU and Intel integrated graphics that leaves a lot to be desired.
