What is the game manhunt about

James Earl Cash is executed for an unstated crime (likely murder), but shamed director Lionel Starkweather bribed prison officials to inject him a high dose of tranquillizer instead of lethal injection so James could star in a series of snuff films. When Cash awakes in a derelict part of Carcer City, he's told that there are gangs hired to hunt him down and kill him while Starkweather is filming and his only shot at freedom and second life is to fight his way out (kill or be killed).
