Mario is a computerized character used in video games. He therefore wasn't actually "born."

The first video game featuring Mario was either Donkey Kong (1981) or Mario Brothers (1983), depending on whether you require him to have been CALLED Mario or not (prior to Mario Brothers, he was known as either "Jumpman" or "Mr. Video.")
