In cod4 why cant you see your guns camoflauge

In ps3 ihave been playing cod4 for a long time and i have very well noticed the camos.. to me, to get the most noticeable one is to use the R700 when u get woodland it appears as a dark greenish brown but destert will appear bright brown and tan on any gun! once u get the destert, bluetiger, and redtiger on that gun it will defemtely show especially on a bright level
