What do you do after you find the flowers that the vet gave you a diagram of in the Pippa Funnel game of Saddle Up

When I played and completed the game, what happened with me is that the picking of the flowers was optional and you carried on with the story regardless. But once you have picked the flowers, when you go to feed your horse, you will be able to choose flowers from the menu. Good luck!
