you can make anywhere from $40 bucks an hr and up. you can make more than that but you'd have to be playing more advanced games that require more dedication and time. if you build up a good enough resume you can bank up pretty nice, nothing crazy, but it is deffinitley possible to pay the bills with this job. most people do it part-time though because its not as fun as it sounds. so i hear.

Computer game Designers earn in the range of £21,500 - £27,000 a year, rising to £35.000 - £44,000. Higher earners can make around £54,000 a year.
