What is vanguard

Vanguard: Saga of Heroes is a massively multiplayer online role playing game that was released in 2007. The game was developed by Sigil Games Online and co-published by Sony Online Entertainment.

The game was not considered a financial success and shortly after its release Sony Online Entertainment bought out Sigil Games Online and released most of Sigil's employees, rehiring a small handful of team members to maintain the game.

Vanguard: Saga of Heroes can still be played and is now fully owned and maintained by Sony Online Entertainment.
