How do you get past world 5 in super chick sisters

When you get to the last part of world 5 you need to jump onto the platform, next to the oil (with out being picked up by Colonel Sanders) and jump on him. You need to do this a few times before he dies. If you die but still have lives left, it doesn't matter because he stays hurt, he doesn't get any better.
